Well, top-o'-the-mornin'-to-ya, March! 2025 has been full of surprises so far--I can't wait to see what happens this 3rd month of the year!
I thought for today's post, we'd take a look at some of the happenings and events of the past few weeks and muse about those that will no doubt continue to brew and bubble up in the days and weeks to come. Sit back and enjoy V's speculative tea... 🫖
Let's start out with some good news for the lucky ducks who may still be around in the year 2032. For a few, weird weeks in February, NASA issued ominous warnings that asteroid 2024 YR4's probability of Earth impact was creeping up on a daily basis. On Feb 5th, it was 1.9%. On Feb 6th, it increased to 2.3%. By Feb 18th, we were up to 3.1%, the highest probability of impact an asteroid has ever received. Alas, by Feb 24th, the probability of Earth impact by 2024 YR4 dropped to 0.004% and it is now expected to pass by Earth safely. Thank goodness nothing else was going on in the world so we could sweat out the possibility of being annihilated by a big rock in a few years.
Oh, but wait...

"You don't have the cards."
On February 28th, the world watched with bated breath to see a possible deal be signed, beginning the process to bring to an end an 11-year conflict between the Ukraine and Russia. The Art of the Deal was in play on the world stage, until... it fizzled.

What should have been a sigh of relief to quit the fighting and avoid WW3 was snuffed out in a bloviated exchange. The bad news, the deal, and relations for the most part, are dead in the water. The good news, eyes were opened. And the USA found out who our friends were. And weren't. Being villainized by the EU, Canada, and UK was not on my 2025 Bingo card. "What fouls these mortals be..."
Oh no... Anyway...

One thing I have looked forward to each day is the uncovering of fraud, waste, and abuse spending (financed by us, the lowly taxpayer). Elon and his DOGE team have done a spectacular job of unearthing the webs of coffers draining us dry. Times up, the masks are off. I can't wait to see what comes to light this month. I'm counting the days until the IRS is no more, and the in-kind tariffs fund the spends. Americans need a refund. A big one.

Not so awesome. Is it Day 1 yet? A word to the AG and FBI Director; the binder boys and gerlz influencers laughing, smiling, posing for selfies last week holding empty binders of alleged Epstein data last week was a massive failure and an insult to the American public. BTW, we're still waiting on the JFK, RFK, MLK files too. Do better. Tick tock.

Welcome to Earth.
I understand my March musings on possible things to come might cost me some friends who follow me--I mean no offense, just calling it like I see it. I've lost quite a few over the past year during the Presidential election, LOL, but I've gained new friends too for which I'm very grateful.
I'm OK with that though, people ebb and flow throughout your life. I'm not about politics (truly). These days I'm about common sense, decency, honesty, reality, speaking up, and doing the right thing. Life is short and should be lived to the fullest, cherishing each moment.
Bountiful March blessings to you and yours. 🍀 It's Wednesday, time for Dear Diary:

Thank you to all who have read Murder in the Key of C!
My February cozy mystery short story was a success. A huge thank you to the readers and those who took their time to write a review! It's very much appreciated. I spy with my writer's eye, another little story coming out for Christmas. Stay tuned!

Soon, all will be revealed...
OK, maybe not all. But the writing of Book 10 in My American Almost Royal Cousin Series is underway. Next month is all about the book cover and title reveal. I'm excited!
