Just four more days until the most #romantic, #chocolate overload day of the year! Since we're still pretty much in #lockdown limbo, I thought it would be fun to get a head start on the celebrating! #WhyNot In today's post, I thought I'd share some of my cherished memories from trips gone by that bring out the #amour in this #femme. đđ
In an unexpected, #writing twist for me--there is a trip to The City of Lights for a few of the characters in Twins in the City. I won't give away any spoilers, but while writing I thought of our trips there and experiences. It's a magnifique city to visit and I hope one day to return. First stop, Angelina's for the best hot chocolate I've ever tasted... Paris is always a good idea! In the meantime, one of my fav flick's to watch is Julie and Julia for Parisian cuisine inspiration. I dare you to not be craving butter after watching this movie! #BonAppetit
#HamptonCourtPalace is my most favorite #royal abode. This is a go to palace that hubby and I always try to visit when we're in London. The gardens are stunning--I love walking the paths and taking in the exquisite beauty. This just happens to be the scene for my Gemma and Kyle fav #romance moments in Mistletoe and Mayhem: Yuletide at Castlewood Manor too! đđ
#ValentinesDay last year we were staying at the regal Empress Hotel in Victoria--wonderful afternoon tea by the fire, and oh, those #sunsets at the harborâŁđ
Wishing you a a fabulous #GalentinesDay, #ValentinesDay weekend--enjoy those sweets with your sweetie! It's Wednesday, time for #DearDiary:
Twins in the City is in #Editing!
Oh, happy week, there's nothing like it when you ship your book baby off to the professionals! I have to tell you, I was sweatin' it there for a few months over the holidays when I planned to finish it, the motivation wasn't kicking in. Thank goodness the new year brought in a renewed writing spirit. This tale warms my heart and if you're looking to spend time in fabulous digs (with the occasional, ahem, body or two), I think you are going to enjoy this story. Holiday in the sand, house-hunting in the city, pop-up plays in Theatreland and royal jewels at Kensington Palace--what can possibly go wrong?
I want to give a huge #shoutout to Theresa Snyder, my editor---fantastic to work with and a quality product every time! Check out her services here:
An apocalyptic blizzard strikes this week from the #writers of Twitter...
Author Kerri Davidson, Beneath the Snow, 5 â
Unprecedented weather events wreak chaos around the world, including the small town of Hazelton in the Canadian Prairies, where a September snow storm takes everyone by surprise. When linen shop manager, Twyla digs out from the first wave of snow--she heads back to her job at the mall, joined by a few other dedicated employees who brave the elements to keep shoppers happy. Business is slow, and soon the occupants of the mall learn why.
A follow-on, mammoth blizzard strikes, emptying monumental amounts of snow on the unsuspecting town. The buried mall becomes a microcosm of society as employees and customers must band together to ward off tragedy as conditions worsen. The best and worst emerge as the days turn into weeks and months, with friendships and love tested as psyches break and hope diminishes.
Author Davidson weaves a dystopian tale that gives a realistic glimpse of how human nature thrives and devolves when placed in dire circumstances. Who will survive? Who will step up and flourish? A chilling, page turning tale that will keep you wondering until the very end--a highly recommended read!
